ParticipantThey hated Gold for greedily overcharging their rent and controlling basically everyone’s buildings or businesses. I think they knew they’d either be out on the streets or he might arrange “accidental fires” if they didn’t pay up. Without knowing his fairy tale identity, they still feared him more than Regina.
When they find out he’s Rumpelstiltskin, what Charming called “the most dangerous man in the realms” and a “scourge” on the kingdoms (keep in mind the sword fight in the infinite forest with Rumpel being a fan of true love, precedes the wedding, and Charming personally helping arrange for the guy to be locked up), they should probably hate him even more.
I could see Belle being a go-between but I don’t think that would do her any favors or help her to fit in. The more I think about her doing that the more I think of her as a Sidney Glass. He was madly in love Regina, would do anything for her and at times did try to tell people that she wasn’t that bad. The guy didn’t seem to have many friends. They just tolerated him to keep off Regina’s bad side and otherwise felt sorry for him. Once Emma finally knew how bad Regina was, Sidney Glass’s love for her downright disgusted Emma.
If people know she’s aligned with Rumpel, I see Belle with a lot more pity than friendship.

ParticipantI believe Emma’s (and by default’s Snow and Charming’s reaction) is dependent upon how she deals with Rumpel tricking her into almost getting herself killed by a dragon for magic that he ran away with, thus leaving her in the lurch and leaving her son to die. I really don’t want that all glossed over. So I think Emma more than most of the rest of the town has reason to dislike anyone who associates with Rumpel.
I’d think most would figure Belle, poor girl’s been locked up for 28 years doesn’t know what kind of a man she loves at all and try to help her see the light. It sounds like it’d then be more likely that Belle would reject them trying to “help” and cling to Rumpel. (Even though I’d much prefer the opposite.)
If everyone figures out Rumpel created the curse, and if magic immediately starts wreaking havoc and they figure out he did that too (I mean Rumpel probably just gave power back to Emma, Snow and Charming’s worst enemy), then even more reason for Rumpel and Belle to be outcasts.
That’s truer to the story of Beauty and the Beast anyway, even though the Beast had done far less to anyone than Rumpel has.

How do you think the rest of the town are going to react to Rumple and Belle as a couple?
I can see some of the reactions being:
Belle’s father- horrified. Would probably think Rumple bewitched Belle or something and tricked her into loving him. Would also have the memory of Rumple beating him with his cane so would probably fear for Belle’s safety.
Charming- Would connect the dots of Belle being Rumple’s true love and then let them get on with their relationship.
Snow- Would probably be a bit surprised but accept it. May even befriend Belle.
Emma- Would see it as none of her business.
The rest of the town- May avoid Belle because of her association with Rumple.
I think you’re right on the dot with this. 😉

ParticipantGlad that we finally get some Emma–Show White–Charming pictures. I really want to see how the three of them are going to interect together. Also, truly curious about the Mad Hatter, and loving Belle and Rumpelstiltskin. And I wonder what Emma would talk to Jiminy–advice?

ParticipantThere was also one of Emma’s bug
I’ve heard mention of Emma’s car being in the credits, but I didn’t see it in the opening credit titles in the link I provided. Where did you come across it? Could the extra unused shots of the white horse and several horses and riders be extra or spoilers?

ParticipantIt’s been stated that people only get one true love in fairytale land. Does this mean Henry already fills this spot for Emma seeing as it was her true love kiss that woke him or can their be different types of true love such as romantic true love and parent/child true love?
I don’t think Emma and Henry’s father should get together. Something obviously happened to make her view him unfavourably but just because she had a child with him doesn’t necessarily mean she has to end up with him. It would be a nice contrast between her and Snow- Snow married Charming then had Emma with him and if it wasn’t for the curse, they would have been a nice little family unit. Emma grew up in the real world where happily ever afters aren’t such a regular occurence, she had a child out of wedlock and now that she’s got Henry back, she is a single mother. I would like to see her meet someone new and move on with her life rather than running back to Henry’s father.
If Henry’s father does show up on the scene, I could see Henry trying to push Emma and his father together because he would probably think that would make them a proper family. However, Henry is a kid, and whilst he was right about the curse he can be a bit naive. I would like to see some of that naivete show through. What kid wouldn’t want their parents together? Even if he doesn’t quite comprehend the reasons why his parents aren’t together.

ParticipantI actually hope they don’t go in the Love Triangle Direction. Emma already has her hands full next season–she is going to have a hard time letting her guard down around her parents, Regina is going to be trying to get back Henry, she is going to be on rocky terms with Rumpelstiltskin afer he tricked her, she has to get used to every single Fairytale character on the show, she may have to continue her duties as Sheriff in keeping everyone in check, and now that magic is back, more trouble and difficulties will come up. Not to mention she and Henry will probably be living together, adding her Love Interest. Putting in her a Love Triangle will be too much.
Plus, it is hard to picture Emma in a Love Triangle. She is blunt, no-nonsense, wary person. I can see her falling in love, but not putting up with two guys following after her.

ParticipantOh there are no pictures of them getting sucked into a vortex. There is just the shots of the street torn apart with that green screen hole in the ground which i am not finding that really good picture of it at the moment. It is just that they are the same spot, so what i think happens is.
Ep 201. The pictures we got yesterday. With everyone on set. Emma, Snow, Charming, Henry, Red, Granny, Jiminy, the dwarfs. It seems to be the same location as the shots with the big hole in the ground from last week with the running and Jefferson.
So i think in Ep 202 we are seeing the after effect of what happened in Ep 201.
So in in Ep 202 we see.
Oh i found the really good picture of the hole.
And then yesterday there was those shots of everyone in the same clothes as they were in the finale.

I just think that at some point in 201 everyone is going to be in the street and this hole is going to open up under Emma or maybe under Henry. Emma is going to get sucked in possibly saving Henry. It all depends on who opened the vortex. And regardless Emma gets sucked in and Snow goes in after her. That would explain why it seems like Charming is running around in Ep 201 trying to find someone, Emma and Snow. And why Henry is off on his own maybe trying to find Emma at Regina’s.
We are guessing here though, so that is all a guess. It is just that it would explain the destruction. If there was some sort of violent sucking wind that blew things around here in the center of town when the vortex opened.
And yeah the vortex thing totally makes me think of Rumpel and Bae. Rumpel lets Bae go and Snow jumps right after Emma. That would be a nice parallel and yet a huge character difference at the same time.
