KeymasterAnd how did Cruella get back to Wish Realm Enchanted Forest? Didn’t she and Ursula get pulled through the portal with Lily when Snow and Charming tried to rid baby in the womb Emma of the potential for darkness?
Well, since it’s Wish Realm Cruella, I’m guessing that this version of Cruella never went to our world. I guess this Wish Universe has its own Wish Neverland and Wish 20th Century London.
I would’ve been all about an Ariel/Nook ship. They were cute together. Do mermaids not age? Because she shouldn’t have been so young otherwise.
Ah, Hookriel. The crack ship @Phee and I never let die.

ParticipantWe saw a lot of our old favorite characters come back in the penultimate episode! Which character did you like seeing best? Was it worth having them back for this episode?
I would’ve liked more back story for Pan. How did Rumple capture him? Also, Robbie Kaye looks so different now I didn’t even recognize him. I had to look him up to see if it was the same actor.

Of course that just brings up more questions that are probably pointless.

ParticipantI honestly think it is going to have to be a we are both thing. That has been the theme since the very beginning and makes the most sense and has the most consistency.
I agree. The fact that the destruction of the Dark One Dagger means the Wish Realm Rumple also ends totally sells that point. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have our Rumple telling (through helpful flashbacks!) Dark One Rumple about his redemption with both Belle and Bae.
So, what happened when Emma was the Dark One and the dagger was destroyed temporarily after Dark Hook was killed? Was Wish Realm Rumple without his powers for that brief time? Or is this something we aren’t supposed to question.

ParticipantGood episode with some great callbacks!
Liked:
The Apprentice acknowledging the wonky timeline. Thank you writers for calling out your own bull.
And thank you writers for finally acknowledging that Regina killed Wish Realm Snow and Charming. She may not have realized it at the time, but it was murder.
I knew that was Wish Realm Henry at the beginning. I know they were trying to make us think it was Henry when he first got to EF 2.0, but I wasn’t fooled.
Just love seeing evil Rumple. Robert Carlyle is just so good at it. He and Gold don’t even seem like the same person.
Hook and Alice’s phone conversation. Can someone please break their curse?
It all started with a cupcake and a wish.
Mixed:
I wish they’d done more with the Wish Realm versions of Peter Pan and Ariel. Robbie Kaye has changed so much I had to look him up to see that it was indeed the same actor. I would’ve liked the story of how Rumple captured him. And was anyone else getting a vibe between Ariel and Hook? I could actually get behind them together in their realm.
How can Wish Realm Henry yield the power of the author pen? Different paths mean he shouldn’t have the same powers.
I like that they brought back the prophecy about the boy being his undoing, but I’ve always gone on the assumption that Henry lead him to Pan and his undoing was when he killed Pan and himself. So now they’ve completely changed canon.
Disliked:
Portals can now take you across the country?
Is anyone going to let Zelena know that he curse is broken? And does she know that they traveled back in time? That would be an awkward conversation with her fiancé.
I totally forgot Wish Realm Henry’s father is still Baelfire. Does Rumplestiltskin know that?
Still not clear on how if Gold loses his darkness that Wish Realm Rumple will too. Did he lose it when Emma became the Dark One?
Hook used his fake hand to hold his phone and it tightened around the phone when he was talking to Alice.
The one thing I won’t miss is Dania Ramirez’s acting. She is so bad. How does she keep getting cast?
AKA
ParticipantI think they will track down Snow and Charming. They should track down Emma who is the savior, but we will see.
Things I would like to see include: the clock tower, the library, Gold’s shop, and Granny’s.
People I want to see: Leroy with Astrid (still shipping them, shady blue), Archie, Pongo, August, Granny, and Marco

ParticipantThey are just acting like trash people and lying again. I definitely think Emma is only in the one group scene and she is holding her second child the whole time and that is why they are using that shot of Emma from the pilot.
Though, that shot might be shown because of them blowing out the candles, but still.

ParticipantThe flashback scenes with Regina just did not work for me. Henry living with Regina is ridiculous. Emma not being mentioned or part of those scenes does not work. Regina giving him her car is ridiculous. They have never passed the place where it is reasonable that Regina be allowed around a child. I know that people like that and they rewrote Regina over the seasons to make her a new character, and i like that character and how she interacts with the world and the adults. That doesn’t change what she has done in the past to Henry and to other children, so pretending that she is a reasonable person to help raise a child is still a no for me. Especially, in light of what this show could have been if they thought about anything and really worked Regina through all that stuff instead of just rewriting her and pretending that stuff didn’t happen.
Rumpel deciding not to kill was good. I liked the idea of the crazy Rumpel. This could give Rumpel a way to talk about all of his mistakes and the evil he did in his attempts to find Bae, but i am not sure that the writers get all that or get what makes sense in this situation. They have made it too much about doing right to get to be with Belle. That is all stupid and repetitive and Rumpel should do the right thing because it is worth doing and not just to get something out of it. It is what it is though and enough of a reason and deus ex machina way to destroy the dark one curse.
Regina and Emma have been sharing custody of Henry since season 4, after Emma decided to stay and Henry got his memories back. He lives with Regina during the whole Dark Swan time as well. Regina has certainly proved herself to be a great mother to Henry over time. And Henry has told her on many occasions that he loves her and appreciates her as his mother. If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have wanted her to stay with him in the EF 2.0. Also, Emma was mentioned briefly, but I feel like Henry is giving the newlywed couple (even though it’s been a year at this point) some space, and that’s why he’s mainly at Regina’s.
As for Rumple vs Wish Rumple, if the writers play this out right, it could be really good. Here we have a Rumplestiltskin who never got to reunite with Bae or with Belle so he really has nothing but revenge in his heart. He has no one to see the good in him. And a villain with nothing to lose is a very dangerous villain.

ParticipantThey really need to stop talking about Snow holding a sword. She held her husband’s sword. That is not some sort of great moment of female empowerment. She never had her own sword. She carried one a few times, but it was rare she was part of the battles. Emma’s only sword was her father’s sword and Neal’s sword.
All of the women’s happy endings were just getting married and having babies. Most of them got married to men who did not remotely deserve them. I can’t believe they are still talking about the pilot of this show. They really need to get over themselves. There are shows twenty years older that did more to show complex and flawed and powerful women then this nonsense.
I love that scene in the pilot, but these guys need to grow up and join the 21st century.

ParticipantUhhh so I have very mixed feelings about this. First of all, Facilier got the ax and I really quite enjoyed him. Does this mean the guardian is going to turn out to be nothing……after all that build up?
And with Rumple being the last villain…..ok, that would be great. Except that we already got Wish Realm Regina as a villain. Are we so far into this that we have used up all the villains we can use? I’ve always hoped that the finale of the show would have to deal with Rumple and Emma. Rumple should be the final villain. But then….Emma left…and they had Rumple try and redeem himself to make it back to Belle. Which is all well and good…I enjoy the Belle and Rumple story and am looking forward to its conclusion. But, now, having Wish Realm Rumple be the final villain is the writers trying to have their cake and eat it too. It feels cheap. Rumple battling himself and basically taking center stage for the final episodes here is good! But because it is Wish Realm nonsense, it ruins it a little for me.

ParticipantI liked the scene with old Henry talking to young Henry and his memories returning and reuniting with Lucy. It should have happened in the fifth episode of the season, but these writers are terrible. I liked the curse breaking scene. Alice and Robyn reuniting was great. They had multiple nice moments.
The flashback scenes with Regina just did not work for me. Henry living with Regina is ridiculous. Emma not being mentioned or part of those scenes does not work. Regina giving him her car is ridiculous. They have never passed the place where it is reasonable that Regina be allowed around a child. I liked that most of the nonsense was over in this episode. Like Gothel, Facilier, and the witches.
