Participant@ hjbau: I doubt Rumple wants to die, otherwise he simply could have tricked another desperate soul into killing him with the dagger just like Zoso did to Rumple in FTL. There was no need to go to such great lengths to enact a powerful curse just to die. I think it’s more likely Rumple wants to get back at the EQ, because he blames her for Belle’s supposed death (and perhaps other reasons we’ll discover later). Also, as Mr. Gold in SB, he is powerful without having to bear the ugly appearance of Rumple. At least in SB he gets to look polished and all glam. (not a real reason, just an observation).

ParticipantIt would be majorly disturbing if Dr. Whale is Red’s great-great-grandfather and hitting on her outside and staring at her lecherously while on a date with Mary Margaret. Gross!

ParticipantJennifer Morrison, who plays Emma, actually answered this question in a recent interview:
In this week’s episode, we again saw Emma placing a lot of faith in her “super-power” of being able to tell when someone’s lying to her, but Sidney’s been playing her for weeks now. Is she going to get a rude awakening in terms of her alliances any time soon?
Yeah, I think eventually, for sure. I feel like she’s always been a little bit skeptical of Sidney only because he did come from being so deep in Regina’s pocket that it’s hard for Emma to believe that someone could really make that much of a turnaround. But she’s also in a town where she doesn’t have a lot of people who are on her side. So, sometimes I think she feels that she has to take the best-worst option. It’s like she knows that there may be something to be skeptical about with Sidney, and yet, he seems like the best possible option at this point. She almost has to force herself to believe that he’s going to be trustworthy because she has no other choice. He’s really the only person she has access to that can get her the information that she needs and to help her try to solve this case. But yes, at some point, she will definitely have a rude awakening in terms of how deeply he’s not supporting her.Read more here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/12/once-upon-a-time_n_1338893.html
I also like the theory that was mentioned on another thread that the reason Emma can’t see through Sidney is because he’s a metaphoric mirror. He reflects light, but doesn’t let it filter through (so to speak).

ParticipantOne possibility is that David is looking for his own heart. This explains why he was wandering about the woods, going into strange states claiming “I’m looking.” It also explains why when he first came out of the coma, he went to the toll bridge (where his and Snow’s love was born) looking for his heart. Mary Margaret’s fingerprints are on the heart box because she possesses it completely. Regina could have easily have removed the heart from David, who was in a comma for 28 years in the SB hospital.

Participant@ malchore adn KatherineLn: Granny said that she was marked and turned by Red’s grandfather, a werewolf. Once Granny had turned into a werewolf, she became pregnant by that same werewolf who turned her. Granny went on to have a daughter, Red’s mother, who was also a werewolf (but was killed by a team of hunters). Red was born with the werewolf gene, which was activated at age 13. Whereas Red inherited the curse genetically, Granny was turned into a werewolf via a bite mark.
@ RumplesGirl: I think you’re probably right about Red’s Happily Ever After. She sadly ate Peter (from the story of Peter and the Wolf). Instead, her happy ending may be self-improvement in SB.
But I think it’s not a who at all. I think her Happily Ever After is more being able to live her life, not being hunted, and being in control of her power.

ParticipantI don’t know if this has been said here yet, but there are 7 ornate beer steins in Mr. Gold’s pawn shop, that we saw in ep. 14 when the dwarves were in the tavern having a drink.
Since there has been some doubt, here is another shot of the dwarves having a drink with the steins.

ParticipantPhotos of Emma and Jefferson (aka Mad Hatter), August, and Mary Margaret in SB:
Emma gets kidnapped by the rakishly handsome Jefferson (aka Mad Hatter):
The images show August going over to the Mad Hatter’s house in Storybrooke, do you think they might know each other from their previous lives? Maybe August is just trying to be Emma’s knight in shining armor by saving her from the crazy kidnapper?
It turns out the Mad Hatter’s daughter, played by Ali Skovbye, is named as Paige/Grace in the credits. It doesn’t seem like she is Alice (unless they changed Alice’s name but kept the character). Here are the EQ as a gypsy woman, Mad Hatter and daughter:

ParticipantI think the box is Regina’s but that Snow White somehow handled it in FTL, and then it somehow ended up in SB. There is another thread with some interesting predictions: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=277

I think the heart is Katherine’s because there is no real indication that it is any one else’s. I also think it’s Katherine’s because of the parallels between Katherine and Gram. They were both Regina’s pets who decided to ignore her wishes and chose their own paths. Katherine’s purpose in Storybrook was to keep David away from Mary Margaret. Katherine is no longer standing between David and Mary Margaret, so Regina needs to get rid of her. So Regina kills her heart. What better use of the heart then than to frame someone for the gruesome murder?
I agree with this understanding of things. Regina has threatened Sydney before by saying she gets rid of things which are no longer useful to her. Kathryn’s usefulness had simply run out, so Regina decided to make her disappear. That played into Regina’s desire to frame Mary Margaret for Kathryn’s murder.
@RumplesGirl: With regards to what happens to David during his memory lapses, there is an entire thread dedicated to this question: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=282"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. Participant@ Sam993: “He’s looking for answers, basically, and that’s why he’s like going nuts.” That’s why he got a referral by Dr. Whale to start getting therapy. We know from the Paleyfest interviews that he’s going to start seeing Dr. Archie Hopper. I’m really looking forward to how Archie, who knows about Henry’s book, will deal with David’s confusion. I wrote more about this on a different thread: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=267
@filmlovernyc: “And that is why Dr. Whale suggested therapy, to get him back on track with the curse!” Perhaps Dr. Whale is somehow sinisterly involved in mind control. Yet, I think Dr. Archie Hopper, who will actually be David’s therapist, is really there to help David. We know from ep. 5 that Archie is on Henry’s side and that he threatened Regina that he’d testify against her in a custody battle. Also, Archie is a man of great conscience and will be helpful since he knows about Henry’s wacky belief in fairy tales.I’m really excited to see how Henry responds to David’s condition! Henry is bound to have some insightful theories about what is happening to David. Henry is one smart kid.
